Early Stage Researchers Training Week
PhD students and postdocs represent key actors for promoting OS, OD, OA. Besides the training itself to develop their skills in OS, they should also be trained to actively participate in the achievement / development of some training programmes / modules, at least at the PhD and ESC level.
LERU for the Doctoral Summer School has chosen as a model of best practice. It enables to identify the needs for training for senior researchers, academics and support staff. The innovative aspects of this model consist in that both the training needs and the routes for skills development are clearly identified. Using a matrix model that can create a picture showing us the learning needs for each category, it can be seen that there is a gradual series of learning needs, starting with postgraduate/ PhD students, and which increase in complexity as early career researchers become Senior Researchers. RDM is our proposal as a subject for the training week.
Each partner has been represented by 3 PhD students attending the training week and spread that knowledge to local doctoral candidates, on the returning to their universities.
A certificate of attendance free of charge has been distributed, validating the 3 ECTS points achieved.
